The Society of Australian Fight Directors Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to educate and inform the industry on safe professional practise of simulated violence on stage.
It’s membership features Australia’s leading experts in simulated violence, including acclaimed Fight Directors Nigel Poulton, Andy Fraser, Justin Palazzo-Orr, Lyndall Grant and Tim Dashwood. The Society offers training and mentorship to actors and performers across Australia, fostering the next generation of Fight Directors and Movement Specialists.
We strive to provide the Australian Entertainment Industry with the highest quality standards and practices in the art forms of stage combat and fight directing.
Our responsibility lies in the education and provision of support to our members and the entertainment industry as a whole. At all times the Society aims to respect the art forms in which the crafts of Stage Combat and Fight directing are grounded, and to respect our membership and the entertainment industry as a whole.
The Society and it’s members are committed to maintaining the integrity of its profession and fostering an environment of honesty, understanding, development and collaboration for our art forms, members and peers.
